Wow… it’s only 4 weeks to go until the Ironbridge Half marathon – Sunday 13th March

I hope you’re as excited as us Telford Harriers are and we hope you are well and enjoying your training.

What’s new for 2016…

We will have a large inflatable start/finish arch so you can clearly see where the start/finish area is

We have a few more Marshall’s en-route to keep you safe and guide you along your way, so more support and fantastic cheers and motivational boosts for you too

We’ve gone eco-friendly… our fabulous goody bags are now disposable paper bags

Race numbers – your timing chip is included in your race number

We are reaching out to our runners more with email communications this year

Countdown to race day

With only 4 weeks to go it’s still important you are prepared for race day, so here are a few tips for you…

  • Ensure your trainers are worn and your kit has been tested on a long run – blisters and chafing could bring your half marathon to a painful end
  • Finalise your nutrition and hydration strategy – make sure you can tolerate any gels or sports drinks you intend to use on race day (remember we have 4 water stations for you too)
  • Try to eat and drink healthier in the last few weeks – your body will function better and you’ll feel great too
